How do you access a Level 2 - Low Level Care?

1. GET ASSESSED

To access a Level 2 - Low Level Care, you will need to go through a process of assessment and approval. This can be done via My Aged Care, which is a great resource to help you navigate the aged care system.

You need to contact My Aged Care and request an assessment. An assessor will then visit you in your home to determine your eligibility and care needs. They will also discuss the types of services that may be suitable for you and provide information on the costs involved.

2. APPROVAL PHASE

Once you have been approved for a Level 2 - Low Level Care, you will be placed on a national priority list. When a package becomes available, you will be contacted and offered a package.

You will then have the opportunity to choose a provider who will work with you to develop a care plan tailored to your individual needs.

3. TALK TO ACURE HOME CARE

How much does a Level 2 - Low Level Care cost?

Our home care services will be scheduled based on your preferences and care needs.

Service price is set by your home care provider and will vary depending on the type of service or care you require. In addition, your initial service budget will be determined by the amount of government funding associated with your allocated home care package and, on top of this, the government may also require you to pay an income tested fee towards your care needs.
