The new Support at Home program will replace the Home Care Packages Program and Short- Term Restorative Care Program from 1 November 2025. The Commonwealth Home Support Program will transition to the new program no earlier than 1 July 2027.

To be eligible for a Home Care Package, you must have care needs relating to your ageing and be over the age of 65 years or 50 years if you are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander).
